I picked up this generator surplus. I have no data on it. It has a turbo charged 4 cyl Hercules DT2300 diesel. The only data that I can find on the generator is a mostly faded wiring diagram. Any info that anyone might have would be very helpful!
I am about to buy the Chinese IP pump head and 6 nozzles (http://www.chinahanji.com). I have talked to Massm35a2 about his experience (a good one). I am looking for anyone else who has bought from them. Please contact me if you have. Thanks!
It looks like I am going to need to do the IP Head o-rings... I can't find any specs on the o-rings. It looks like everyone has pulled the head, and went to the local store to match them up. Has anyone measured the o-rings? OD, ID, thickness? I would like to get some replacement...
There is now more "Stickys" at the top then there are active topics. How about consolidating some and thin out the unneeded ones.
The noobs need to learn how to search. They shouldn't need to be hand fed.
What's the status of the availability of the A3/Dual circuit master cylinder? Has anyone discovered an P/N cross to a new production unit yet? I know OD Iron was going to look into it a few months back.... Any word?
Used the Deuce for some rock loads. This load was 13,880 Lbs of rock. The gross weight was 27,740 Lbs. The truck pulled and stopped just fine. Did have to use all 10 gears to get up to speed. It really made me hate stop and go traffic.
This is something that I have been gathering up parts for sometime. The stock oil system simply sucks for the type of situation it is in (it's not in the arctic). The stock system takes 12-15 sec until oil pressure is built up. The stock filters don't filter very well. A year ago I updated...
I like the idea of adding a remote reservoir a lot. I got an old M/C reservoir off of an old Acura about a year ago to do this. I just machined some aluminum to the right diameter and made an adapter. Now the neat thing about this is the cap. The cap has a float switch. I have wired the...
I have finished my projects...For now. One of which was installing a class IV hitch on the Deuce and have a 12V outlet to allow the towing of typical trailers.
The wiring was simple. All you need is a 24V relay controlling a 12V circuit. You need a relay for tail lights, left turn/left...
I am in the middle of painting a newly acquired truck... I am painting in a 10 x 20 tent with sides. Everything is going great but for one thing. Bugs! They have been making their way in there and sticking to the paint. I have just finished the second coat of primer. I would like to...
Mid June, I received OD Iron's remote oil filter kit to install and get some hours on the setup. As long as it isn't predicted to rain, I drive the Deuce approximately 40 miles a day...The hours quickly add up.
The kit is very complete and easy to install. It comes with a generous length of...
I have wanted to do this for some time. I had some extra hose laying around and I got a free 100 Ft hose reel a few weeks ago. So here it is. I just need to add a tennis ball to the end of the hose.
My friend won one of the M1009's at Fort. Bragg. We will be picking it up next week and would like to trailer it home. His trailer can fit can car as wide as 6' 1-2". Will it fit? ...Or should I find a tow bar to use?
Event 2884, Lot 2909. This was a blind purchase. Did anyone take a...
I finished making and installing the remote oil filter setup.
I highly suggest using a dual filter head unless you wish to have one filter on the firewall and one on the fender. These are poor pictures at best (and much of the engine is wet due to recent rain). I will take some better...
