Moving a non running car from Colorado to Ky, and maybe moving something for you.

Not a mv item, still it's big. 1972 Plymouth Fury, non running. Rolls. Located in Fountain Colorado (80817) and going to Ky (40059) which is about 15 miles outside Louisville. It's currently sitting on a car trailer. I have one guy that can pick it up, IF he has a load going out there. If...

m-818 tractor from nevada to texas

Often times, you will come out ahead shipping instead of driving (ok close enough for me anyways) . Most don't count the hotel rooms, true fuel cost, food, time off work. Then you have to rope in someone else into the adventure, unless you fly. Which lately has not been that cheap. This is all...

    Sellable value for a M35A3

There is m35a2's still on the GL site, in pretty good numbers. I 've been bidding & watching , the trend is down on the A3s. A beautiful winch truck in Wi sold for 5250 (the tan one) last week. Most are a little over 4k, unless you bid on the ones in lower Ga. Under 4k many times.

    best 5-ton tractor

I would like another 818, for a fun toy. As far as using it as a actual tractor, I would agree with the other posts. Third gear to fourth is a stretch. It does have power steering, which is good, but that's it. Many do not have a heater, which can be added. It's a primitive machine. A 916 would...

Best Thing You've Found in Your CUCV

I found a thing that looks like a black wrist watch unused, still sealed in plastic. The tag says NSN:6665-01-043-2191 date looks like 11/90 & DT-236/pdr-75 Radiac Detector. Wrist watch radiation detector?

Room for sleepers behind 915 series trucks?

There is not enough room for a sleeper imo.

Cost of getting a good truck?

We are not talking about airplanes. Sure you could do it, you could raise more money & get it. Work, cut grass, sell firewood, clear snow, do handyman jobs. Do you know what the difference between a goal and a dream is? A goal has a timeline.

    M915,915a1 916,917,918,919,920 Key Code

Is it a one key fits all, or is that the blank that has to be cut for each truck?

    Air-O-Matic steering caution !!!

Plumbing stores (and even Home Depot) sell clamps that are used to hold pipes for gas lines and water lines (I am talking about clamps for your house) in place from sliding or moving. For example I have used them to keep a gas line from falling through a larger hole that was drilled in concrete...

    Your fine.

    th400 shot or not??

You should go look & confirm what he saw, if your in doubt. If it was my money, I would rebuild the tranny. The turbo 400 is a cheap transmission to rebuild, and a pain to pull/install. Just curious, what is he quoting to rebuild it anyways?

M818 opinion needed: Quarter fenders or not?

I would leave them on, unless you change your wheels to larger ones. Nice truck!

    Fair price on a deuce?

I have a really nice one that I have owned for 2 years, drive anywhere shape, hardtop, heater, tarps, seats, winch, a rebuild, new (stock) tires & a $1500 power steering I just installed, I would take $6000 obo.

    M915, M916 heads up

I was told that Cat tranny has a pile of solenoids (sensors or ?) that can & do go bad. Expensive to fix. Cool to use, but very troublesome .
